You can leave the rest of the questions in your profile empty - but the more you fill in, the more you can see in other profiles! Only the parts that you have entered yourself are visible in someone else's profile. The search options also become available if you have entered a part yourself. As an example: only when you fill in which languages you speak can you see in others' profiles which language they speak, and you can also 'search by language'.
